Plans For WWE Faction Reunion On The Way

There could be trouble for the rest of the WWE Raw roster quite literally on the way as a new report says the company has plans to reunite The Way on the red brand.

The Way was a faction on NXT that consisted of Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Austin Theory. Dexter Lumis ended up associated with the group through his relationship with Hartwell and those two eventually had an on-screen wedding. But after that, the group began to split with Theory joining Raw following the 2021 draft and Gargano, LeRae, and Lumis eventually leaving WWE for a spell.

WRKD Wrestling has reported that there are “preliminary plans” to reunite former NXT faction The Way on Monday Night Raw given that all but one of the former members are now on the red brand.

Indi Hartwell was drafted to Raw from NXT where she has now relinquished the NXT Women’s Championship and announced a tournament will take place to crown a new champion. After suffering an injury in the ring the previous week, Hartwell was carried out of the NXT arena for the last time by her on-screen husband Dexter Lumis.

Lumis as well as Candice LeRae and Johhny Gargano will all remain on Raw following the draft but The Way could be one member short but fans probably won’t mind. WWE US Champion Austin Theory was drafted to SmackDown so it seems that he’d be the one to miss out on any possible reunion of the popular group.
