WWE Employees Feeling “Doom and Gloom”

Vince McMahon WWE

Some WWE employees are already making plans to leave the company.

On the day after WrestleMania 39, the wrestling business as it is known changed forever when Vince McMahon announced that his company was set to be taken over by Endeavor and merged into a new company with UFC.

McMahon himself will become Executive Chairman of the TKO Group – the new parent company of both WWE and UFC – when the takeover is completed but there will be no place on the Board of Directors for Triple H. The takeover is believed to be set to go through by the end of September.

WWE employees worried about job security

Now PWInsider has reported that ahead of the takeover being completed there is a “sense of doom and gloom” hanging over WWE employees with the belief that jobs will be cut in the company almost immediately after the takeover by Endeavor is finalised.

The report notes that those not on the production side of things or directly involved with talent feel they could be in the firing line. A “long-time company employee” is reported to have observed that there will be no need for “two distinct travel offices or accounting departments” between WWE and UFC meaning numbers will likely be cut.

Some employees are said to be “quietly looking for their next job” although it is not yet known just how many jobs will be cut.
