WWE To Award Crown Jewel Champions With Special Reward
Triple H announced that the winners of major matches at WWE Crown Jewel will take home something instead of a championship belt.
The WWE Crown Jewel PLE will have two major matches involving the champions in the company, but none of their titles will be on the line. The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will face the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther while the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will compete against WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.
At Bad Blood, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque unveiled a brand new Crown Jewel Championship that will be awarded to the men’s and women’s winners of those matches. Whoever wins those matches will be known as the Crown Jewel Champion of WWE for at least the next year.
In an update on what the winners receive at Crown Jewel, Triple H announced at the Crown Jewel Kickoff event that the winners will not take home the title belts. Instead, they will receive a massive ring that they can take home and be proud to be the Crown Jewel Champion of WWE.
“The champions, whoever that is will walk way with a massive ring, like a Super Bowl ring that shows they are the true champion of WWE. And as this is an annual event so we’ll see how many rings can collect over the years.”
This year’s Crown Jewel PLE will be the sixth time that WWE has used that name for a show in Saudi Arabia.
WWE Crown Jewel Will Feature Seven Matches
In addition to the Rhodes-Gunther and Jax-Morgan matches, one of the big matches at Crown Jewel will be a family affair.
The reunited original version of The Bloodline consisting of Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso will face off against the current version of The Bloodline, which is led by the Usos younger brother Solo Sikoa along with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa. On WWE Smackdown, Solo claimed he found a new family and he’s not a bad guy for going against his actual family.
