WWE Clarifies Status Of Match On Upcoming Big Show
A match scheduled for WWE Superstar Spectacle was thrown into question following the results of the Payback Premium Live Event.
The original announcement stated that Indus Sher [Veer and Sanga] would challenge Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. However, by the time Payback had concluded, Owens and Zayn were no longer the champions.
Fans looking forward to the Superstar Spectacle were curious as to what this meant for the upcoming show in India. Did this mean that new champions Finn Balor and Damian Priest would be making the trip over? Or would the match be scrapped altogether?
An update has been provided by the WWE India social media team. It has been announced that Veer and Sange will still face Owens and Zayn on September 8th, but now there will be no championships at stake. While Indus Sher will be delighted to be performing in their native country, they will likely be a little disappointed that they won’t be able to challenge for the titles.
