The Major WWE Change Vince McMahon Wouldn’t Have Allowed

Vince McMahon WWE

WWE has made one big change that wouldn’t have happened under Vince McMahon.

Back in March 2024, Logan Paul announced that Prime would be the first-ever centre-ring sponsor for WWE. The move was a shock to many as the idea of having other company’s logos on a WWE mat after so many years seemed unthinkable despite it being commonplace in other sports.

Since then, fans have gotten used to seeing the Prime bottle as well as multiple other logos on the once-plain canvas. During an appearance on Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Michael Cole explained that Vince McMahon wouldn’t have allowed it to happen as he saw the mat as “sacred.”

“The Prime logo on the mat? And now all the logos we’ve got on the mat. this would have never happened. I understood Vince’s perspective that [the mat] was sacred, but, you know, it’s 2025.”

While Paul admits it’s “fantastic” for him to have the Prime logo in the ring with him, he thinks it can be challenging for other wrestlers to have the logos getting in the way of their entrance or big moves.

Michael Cole Will Never Disparage Vince McMahon

During the same interview, Michale Cole claimed he will “never, ever” dispareage Vince McMahon. The announcer explained that despite McMahon’s “personal issues,” from a professional perspective, he wouldn’t be where he is today without the disgraced ex-WWE Chairman. Cole says McMahon “stuck with him” over the years when he was transitioning to a wrestling role despite having no prior experience in the industry.
