3-Time WWE Champion Seemingly Injured At Crown Jewel

Kairi Sane and Asuka took on Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky at WWE Crown Jewel on Saturday, October 11. The heels lost to the babyfaces.

The match was a result of weeks of messy drama and shifting alliances on Monday Night Raw. Iyo Sky was caught in the middle, torn between her old friends in The Kabuki Warriors and a growing bond with The Eradicator.

Asuka’s increasing jealousy and narcissistic attitude only added fuel to the fire. She had demanded that Sky sever all ties with Ripley, causing tension that eventually transformed into a full-blown rivalry and culminated in a tag team match at Crown Jewel this past weekend.

The match itself delivered nearly 20 minutes of wild action. As soon as the bell rang, Asuka and Kairi Sane went on the offensive, punishing Iyo Sky and cutting her off from Ripley early. Both teams traded momentum, with each partner making desperate saves to prevent a quick finish.

The 3-time WWE Champion Kairi Sane got the spotlight for her teamwork and loyalty when Rhea Ripley tried to set up a huge avalanche Riptide on The Empress of Tomorrow. She tagged herself in and shoved Asuka out of danger, but took Ripley’s brutal big boot to the head instead.

This sacrifice left Sane vulnerable, and in the closing moments, Ripley hit her with a Riptide, and Iyo Sky followed up with an Over the Moonsault, pinning Kairi Sane for the win.

Kairi Sane Seemingly Injured Her Head at WWE Crown Jewel

After the match, Asuka posted a picture on Instagram showing herself icing Kairi Sane’s head backstage, seemingly confirming that the latter suffered a head injury during their tag team bout. There has been no word on whether Sane sustained a serious head injury or if it was just a minor bump, sparking concern and speculation about whether she might miss upcoming shows.

Asuka surely wasn’t very pleased with her Crown Jewel loss. With tonight’s Monday Night Raw on the horizon, all eyes are on Asuka’s reaction: will her ego let her care for Kairi Sane, or will she double down on blaming others for the defeat? What do you think will happen?
