WWE Called Out For Allegedly Disrespecting John Cena

WWE John Cena

John Cena has just over a month left in his wrestling career.

The 48-year-old superstar is scheduled for a final bout at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII on December 13, with his opponent yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, a 16-man tournament was recently announced to see who Cena would face in Washington, DC.

The tournament will kick off on the upcoming RAW taping with two matches: Rusev vs. Damian Priest and Sheamus vs. Shinsuke Nakamura.

The next batch containing as many matches will be contested on next week’s SmackDown, with The Miz taking on Jey Uso and LA Knight facing a mystery opponent.

Who the mystery opponent will be is anybody’s guess, as names such as Gunther and Oba Femi or talents from TNA like Matt Cardona or Nick Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) could show up.

As for John Cena, he will also make an appearance on WWE RAW, which will be held in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

Elsewhere, the Triple H-led promotion has copped criticism for a prolonged decision, one which a veteran has called “disrespectful” to the 17-time world champion.

WWE Has Not Yet Sold Out SNME

One of the major prevailing issues with WWE is its ticket pricing.

Over the last few months, the TKO board and the Stamford promotion’s decision to increase the cost of tickets has not sat well with the fans.

It is fair to assume that along the way, the company has lost many of its loyal fan base owing to this particular decision.

A user recently took to X to share a screenshot of the Capital One Arena in Washington showing many seats yet to be filled.

Replying to the user, veteran commentator Jonathan Coachman called out the promotion’s mishandling of ticket sales, stating that it was disrespectful to John Cena.

Wait Ben. Wait for all of the trolls to come at you. I said this a week ago when 57,000 get into the waiting room and it doesn’t sell out that’s a problem. The same week we were all told the events are “appropately priced”. This is so disrespectful to a man that I respect about as much as anyone ever in wrestling.
