Why WWE Had Major Concern About Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker betrayed Seth Rollins on the October 13, 2025, episode of Raw, just days after Rollins won the title at WWE Crown Jewel.
In the closing moments of the Monday night show, Breakker speared Seth and called on Reed to join him. Reed hit his finishing Tsunami splash, and the duo, backed by Paul Heyman, kicked Rollins out, turning on their former mentor in front of a shocked crowd.
On October 20, 2025, WWE held a battle royal to determine the number 1 contender, who would face the other number 1 contender, CM Punk, for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship, which Rollins was forced to drop after his Crown Jewel injury. But Reed and Breakker were not part of it.
As an act of punishment for their brutal attack on Rollins, WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce left The Brons out of the battle royal, holding them responsible for forcing the title to be vacated. But there was a major reason behind this angle.
WWE Was Worried Bron Breakker And Bronson Reed Would Get Babyface Pop
According to WrestleVotes, WWE left The Brons out of the battle royal because they feared the heels would be getting too much babyface pop so soon after betraying Rollins, and they didn’t want that to happen.
“A source I spoke with this week told me there has been internal concern that Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed would receive babyface fan reactions following their turn on Seth Rollins, which played into the decision to exclude them from the Battle Royal on #WWERaw last week.”
Jey Uso won the number 1 contendership spot and will face The Best in the World for the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The most shocking thing happened during the battle royal, where Jey Uso betrayed his twin brother Jimmy to win the spot.
