Big E has revealed that he will be voicing a character in a new Marvel animated series.

In March 2022, Big E suffered a severe neck injury that left him unable to compete in the ring. In recent updates, the star has admitted that he might never wrestle again, although he is happy to be living a pain-free life. Outside of wrestling, the star has been seen on TV in Laid and voiced Canon Wulf in Adult Swim’s Lazor Wulf. Now, Big E has revealed that he will be lending his voice to Marvel’s latest animation, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, which is set to debut on Disney Plus on January 29th.

“Sitting on this news has been a task! Incredibly excited to voice a character in YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN! Premieres Wednesday, January 29th on
@DisneyPlus!”

Speaking to Brandon Davis on his YouTube channel, the show’s Executive Producer and Head Writer, Jeff Trammell, explained that they have been working with Big E for some time, with the star still wearing his neck brace when recording for the as yet unknown role began.

Kofi Kingston Takes Another Dig At Big E’s Injury

Kofi Kingston has made a subtle dig at Big E being unable to return to the ring. Kingston and Xavier Woods kicked E out of The New Day back in December, claiming he didn’t make enough of an effort to get cleared to return to action. In a recent interview, Kingston praised Bryan Danielson for coming back from a neck injury in a clear reference to Big E not doing the same.
