WWE Allegedly Buried Karrion Kross Twice On RAW
Karrion Kross is making waves on WWE Monday Night RAW with a fierce rivalry fueling his recent matches against Sami Zayn.
This rivalry began as a psychological battle earlier this year and now has escalated into intense confrontations that haven’t failed to captivate WWE fans. Since early 2025, Kross has been targeting Zayn with mind games, culminating in a brutal exchange at the Night of Champions when Zayn initially triumphed over Kross.
However, the animosity didn’t end there. Following Night of Champions, The Herald of Doomsday attacked Zayn with a pipe on RAW, aggressively interfering in Zayn’s tag team matches and intensifying their feud. This ongoing conflict set the stage for more violent episodes and a high-stakes showdown on RAW last week.
On the July 21 episode of RAW, Karrion Kross defeated Sami Zayn after another vicious pipe attack, asserting dominance in their heated rivalry. Shortly after, a rematch between the two was announced for the upcoming SummerSlam event. This long-running narrative has blended physicality and psychological warfare to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
WWE Is Limiting Karrion Kross’ Potential
Despite Kross’s in-ring success, wrestling commentator Bin Hamin criticized WWE for allegedly burying Kross twice during RAW. Speaking on WWE SmackDown & Raw Review Clips, he pointed out that Kross was given short, underwhelming segments on RAW that weakened his otherwise dominant persona.
Notably, Kross’s entrance was cut or omitted, diminishing his presence and star power. Plus, when Karrion Kross appeared to sustain a visible injury during his match, the broadcast quickly cut away, removing dramatic impact and momentum from the moment.
“Killer Cross is already in the ring. No entrance,” he said. “Things get sideways. Cross has got color now. We rewind around it like five times. I don’t even know what he hurt his nose on. From that flip in the corner, where it was Sammy’s elbow that hit him, or what? And then we go over. No pop, cut right away. No business afterwards. They couldn’t have cut him any shorter even in his win, to get their stage picture. They do the kiss and there’s no heat afterwards.” [5:43 – 6:27]
Hamin believes that WWE further diluted Kross’s image backstage with segments involving his real-life wife, Scarlett, which leaned into “husband and wife hijinks” rather than supporting his role as a serious, threatening competitor.
“And now we’re doing husband and wife hijinks with Killer Cross backstage when they should be natural-born killers. They should be Quentin Tarantino,” he added. [6:47 – 6:57]
According to Bin Hamin, WWE has overall missed opportunities to capitalize on Karrion Kross’s growing fan support, potentially stifling his rise to the top. Industry whispers suggest this limited booking could be a calculated move to create backstage frustration, possibly influencing contract discussions in the future.
