AAA TripleMania XXXIII Match Card Featuring Many WWE Superstars

The massive AAA TripleMania card features several WWE superstars, and one of them could be leaving with a major title.

Following WWE’s announcement about how they acquired a majority stake in the Mexican AAA promotion, plans have been made for increased interactions between superstars from both brands.

On June 7th in Los Angeles, the first WWE-AAA collaboration took place with a show called Worlds Collide. It was headlined by El Hijo Del Vikingo beating Chad Gable in an incredible match that many people will likely remember as one of the best matches of the year.

The 33rd edition of AAA’s TripleMania event, which is the company’s equivalent to WWE WrestleMania, will take place this Saturday, August 16th. It will air live and for free on WWE’s YouTube channel in both English and Spanish at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT from Mexico City.

Reina de Reinas Championship Triple Threat Match
Flammer (c) vs. Faby Apache vs. Natalya

Latin American Championship Match
El Mesías (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

Copa Bardahl Match

In the Copa Bardahl (Bardahl Cup), participants enter the match at timed intervals, similar to a Royal Rumble Match. Eliminations occur via pinfall. The last remaining competitor wins the Copa Bardahl trophy.

As you can see above, El Hijo Del Vikingo’s AAA Mega Championship is against three WWE superstars, including Dragon Lee, Dominik Mysterio, and El Grande Americano. The AAA Tag Team Titles are held by Angel & Berto, who are regulars on the WWE SmackDown brand.

The legendary former WWE Women’s Champion Natalya will be in a huge triple threat match, going for the Reina de Reinas Championship. Meanwhile, The Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh & Raquel Rodriguez will team up in a match opposing NXT’s Lola Vice.

WWE’s Dominik Mysterio Could Become AAA Mega Champion

It was reported recently that the WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio could win the AAA Mega Championship.

Since “Dirty” Dom gets loud crowd reactions in WWE and he’s even getting some cheers from fans who respect him as a performer, it’s been reported that AAA’s top champion appearing regularly on WWE television is “appealing to both sides” because it would lead to more exposure for the AAA brand.

Fans will have to tune into TripleMania 33 to see if it “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and other WWE superstars leave the show with some championships.
