WWE Adds 5th Title Match To NXT Halloween Havoc

WWE NXT Halloween Havoc

There are five matches set to take place at NXT Halloween Havoc, and all of them are title matches.

The WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca was in action on SmackDown in San Jose. Ruca teamed up with Zaria to challenge Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

It was a competitive match that saw Ruca hit her Soul Snatcher finishing move on Flair, but Bliss was there to break it up at two.

Later in the match, Ruca noticed Blake Monroe in the front row of SmackDown, so Flair hit a chop block on Ruca. Flair went into the ring and applied the Figure Eight submission on Ruca for the win.

During Monroe’s appearance, it was announced that she will challenge Ruca for the NXT Women’s North American Title at the Halloween Havoc PLE on October 25th.

That means the Halloween Havoc PLE has five official matches announced.

  • NXT Championship: Ricky Saints vs. Trick Williams
  • NXT Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne vs. Tatum Paxley
  • NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page vs. Hijo Del Dr. Wagner Jr.
  • NXT Tag Team Championships: The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) vs. Darkstate (Any 2 of Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars & Cutler James)
  • NXT Women’s North American Championship: Sol Ruca vs. Blake Monroe

Why Blake Monroe Was Happy To Debut On WWE NXT Instead Of Main Roster

When Blake Monroe became a WWE superstar earlier this year, it was after she spent two years on AEW TV as Mariah May, where she held the AEW Women’s World Championship and had a great feud with Toni Storm.

Even though she had a lot of TV experience, Blake Monroe made it clear in a recent interview that she was glad to debut on WWE NXT instead of on Raw or SmackDown.

“NXT’s got the highest viewership of any show I’ve been on. And I think you have to consider as well, WWE is so huge.

The amount of TV equity that Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair – they have millions of followers, all this TV equity, I know I can go toe-to-toe with them, but I feel like, why wouldn’t I go to NXT?

Continue to build my brand, continue to introduce the WWE Universe, who may know me, probably don’t – I don’t think any of these kids would know me or anything – tell them who I am, and also make NXT my brand, because I truly feel like I am doing that and can do that.

Why wouldn’t I take that opportunity, get that TV equity, build myself in WWE, use the resources, be able to talk to Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom and all these amazing coaches, learn and grow?

So when I do go to the main roster and I’m going against these juggernauts, I really have the best chance possible to succeed. Because they are huge stars, so I’ve gotta build myself a little.”

You can see Blake in action against Sol Ruca at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 25h in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
