Women’s Tag Team Champion Defeated On WWE SmackDown

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships have undergone a major rehaul since Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss won the titles. The duo elevated the belts and brought them back into the mainstream before they lost the titles to the Kabuki Warriors.

After beating them in the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, the teams of Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss claimed that they should challenge for the Tag Team Championships this past week on RAW.

The two teams faced each other on Monday night, with the winner expected to challenge the Kabuki Warriors. However, Asuka and Kairi Sane interruped their match before a huge brawl broke out.

Following their interference in the match on RAW, a match was announced between Alexa Bliss and Kairi Sane for tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

Alexa Bliss comes away with a win on WWE SmackDown

Both Bliss and Sane went up against one another for the first time in a singles match tonight. The two wrestlers were evenly matched for much of the early stages, but Kairi Sane took control after Asuka attacked Bliss behind the referee’s back.

Kairi went to attack Bliss while she was stuck in the corner, but she moved out of the way, and Kairi went face-first into the turnbuckle. This allowed Alexa to come back into the match. Asuka tried to interfere in the match once again but was taken out by Charlotte Flair.

Sane went up to the top rope to hit the Insane Elbow on Alexa, but Little Miss Bliss caught her at the right moment and hit her with a Sister Abigail to seal the win. However, they couldn’t celebrate for long as they were attacked by Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

The two women took out both Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss before turning their attention to the Kabuki Warriors as they made a claim for the Women’s Tag Team Championships as well, just like The Judgment Day this past Monday Night on RAW.
