William Regal has bid a heartfelt goodbye to his fellow members of the Blackpool Combat Club as he looks to embark on a journey far, far away from the group.
After weeks of speculation, Tony Khan confirmed that William Regal will indeed be leaving AEW at the turn of the year as he looks to reunite with Triple H and his son, NXT star Charlie Dempsey, in WWE.
On Dynamite in Cedar Park, Texas, a video played where William Regal wrapped up his AEW storylines and told his fellow Blackpool Combat Club members that despite his actions at Full Gear he was BCC “until the day I die.”
Now taking to social media, Regal has shared a photo of the group posing in the style of famed nutty boys, Madness, and linked to what he calls his “favourite song by my favourite band,” ‘Far, Far Away’ by Slade – a glam rock group from just down the road from where Regal was born:
“To the members of the BCC. My favourite song by my favourite band who somehow knew when I was a child to write the story that is my life. It’s been a pleasure fellas. We’ll meet again…”
