Will Ospreay Wants To Face Legend At AEW All In 2026

Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay is dreaming big.

After AEW All In was moved to Texas for the first time in 2025, it’s already been confirmed that the event will return to Wembley Stadium in 2026. As such, arguably the company’s most famous British star is already looking ahead to the show.

At Forbidden Door on August 24 in London, Will Ospreay will team with Hiroshi Tanahashi, Darby Allin, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi to face the Death Riders, Gabe Kidd, and the Young Bucks.

The match continues the union between Ospreay and Omega despite the pair previously being fierce rivals.

In fact, their most recent singles match came at Forbidden Door 2023 when Ospreay beat Omega to claim the IWGP United States Title.

During an interview with Off Script, ahead of the 2025 edition of the event, Ospreay admitted that he’d love to headline All In 2026 opposite Omega.

“Honestly, if it was down to me and I had the magic potion to make everything happen, and I’m healthy to make it because we have no idea what waits on the other side [of the injury], there’s no timeline. If I have my magic potion, it’s me versus Kenny Omega in the main event.”

Will Ospreay Gets Candid About Neck Injury

In a different interview, Will Ospreay said he was “compromised” heading into Forbidden Door. He went on to confirm that he’ll be undergoing neck surgery following the event. Some have speculated that the surgery could keep the British star out of the ring for over a year.

In the interview, Ospreay explained that he’s got a series of herniated discs in his neck that are pushing on his spinal cord and impacting the nerves in his arms. He reiterated that he’s safe to be wrestling in the coming days, but may have to modify his style in the future.

The former NJPW star also confirmed that he’s been dealing with the injury for around ten months.

Unfortunately, Ospreay isn’t the only top AEW star struggling ahead of Forbidden Door after it was reported that Swerve Strickland could also require surgery. According to the report, Strickland has been working with a torn meniscus since 2019. The star had been due to take time off following All In, but those plans were later changed.
