Vince McMahon’s return as the chairman of the company in 2023 was opposed by Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, resulting in a dent in their relationship.

The Big Man finally cut off all ties with WWE in 2024 after former employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, and he sold off his remaining TKO shares for $776M+.

However, recent speculations indicate that McMahon might be looking to buy the company back from TKO, and if he does, his relationship with his daughter and son-in-law will become further complicated.

Triple H was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2025, and during his speech, he mentioned Vince McMahon. The Cerebral Assassin acknowledged the complicated relationship between them, but also credited him for Triple H’s rise in the wrestling juggernaut.

Former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo addressed the complication in the relationship, and revealed why such was the case.

The power couple of WWE voted against him, which led to a massive breakdown in communication. Apparently, they are not in talking terms with Vince McMahon due to the role they played in his removal.
