Why Triple H Could Get Involved In Major WWE Storyline
Could Triple H really shoehorn himself into one of the biggest storylines of the year in WWE?
John Cena is the current WWE Champion after defeating Cody Rhodes for the gold at WrestleMania 41. 2025 marks the final year Cena will compete in the ring, and he has vowed to take the richest prize in the business with him when he hangs up his boots and prove that he is, indeed, the last real champion.
Cody Rhodes pinned John Cena at Money In The Bank after R-Truth made his shock return to WWE, heavily teasing that Rhodes will get his title rematch with Cena sooner rather than later. However, questions remain over what Cena’s creative direction will be until December and who else he could face.
One dream match is already going to be run back at Night of Champions as John Cena will clash with CM Punk in Saudi Arabia. But could Triple H become involved with Cena before all is said and done?
Triple H Looking To Be Part Of John Cena’s Retirement?
Speaking on Coach & Bro, former WWE and WCW writer Vince Russo explained why he thinks Triple H might not be able to help himself from getting involved in the final days of John Cena:
I’m gonna make a bold prediction right now. I promise you by the time we get to December and it is Cena’s final match, I promise you somewhere along the line, somehow, some way, your boy Triple H is going to shoehorn his way into this story. I absolutely, positively, almost guarantee it.
Triple H cannot wrestle again following serious heart surgery in 2021, but as the previous leader of The Authority, who had more than a few scrapes with John Cena, there might still be a way he can be involved with his old rival one last time.
