Why The Great Khali Doesn’t Want WWE Return
The Great Khali has no interest in making a full-time return to WWE.
The Great Khali made his WWE debut in April 2006 and quickly made an impact by attacking The Undertaker. While The Great Khali knows he was never great in the ring, he still went on to have an impressive start in the company, with victories over The Deadman and Batista on his way to capturing the World Heavyweight Title in July 2007. Khali eventually left WWE in 2017, but left enough of a mark to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.
During an appearance on Rewind, Recap, Relive, Khali was asked if he would consider returning to the company to resume his career. While the Punjabi Playboy is open to make one-off appearances, he says he has too much going on to consider a full-time return.
“I don’t think so, going back to WWE. I’m doing so many things. CW, I have a restaurant business. I have lots of commercials. So many events in India. I’m busy all the time. I don’t want to come back to WWE. I want to come and just say, ‘Hello. Hi.’ Check in a little bit. Royal Rumble. Not permanently. Permanently? No. I’m doing so many things.”
The Undertaker Names Star Who Made The Great Khali Look Like Lou Thesz
The Undertaker has named the one star worse to work with than The Great Khali. While The Phenom had a lengthy rivalry with Khali, the colossal Indian star had a lot of limitations in the ring. However, he wasn’t the worst wrestler Undertake competed against, that honor goes to his WrestleMania 9 opponent, Giant Gonzales. When discussing the bout, The Phenom went as far as saying he wanted to “wash it out of his memory.”
