Why Steve Austin Missed WrestleMania Main Event

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Steve Austin has revealed why he missed the main event of WrestleMania 41.

‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ made his presence felt once again at WWE’s top Premium Live Event despite being hampered by recent knee replacement surgery.

The former WWE Champion was on hand during WrestleMania week to accept a second induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame, this time alongside the legendary Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart as their classic bout at WrestleMania 13 became the first match to receive the prestigious ‘Immortal Moment’ honour.

Night two of WrestleMania saw Austin handed the task of announcing the official attendance, which in typical ‘Stone Cold’ fashion involved complete chaos when a fan was knocked down after the 60 year-old crashed an ATV into the ringside barrier during his entrance.

During a recent appearance on ‘‘The Ariel Helwani Show‘, Austin discussed his WrestleMania week experience before revealing that he had already left the building by the time John Cena had pinned Cody Rhodes to lift the WWE Championship for a record 17th time:

“I didn’t see it.

I just wanted to beat the crowd. I haven’t watched it back.”

Steve Austin Turned Down Big Money WrestleMania Offer

Steve Austin has confirmed that he declined a seven figure offer from Logan Paul to appear dressed as a Prime bottle at WrestleMania.

‘The Maverick’ recently claimed he had made a $1m dollar offer to Austin, with the legendary Superstar revealing that he turned down due to a potential conflict of interest with his own beverage brand.
