Why Nick Aldis Should Be Wrestling In WWE

Nick Aldis WWE SmackDown

A wrestler who knows Nick Aldis very well believes the SmackDown General Manager should be competing in the WWE ring.

It was in October 2023 when it was announced by Paul “Triple H” Levesque that Nick Aldis would be the SmackDown General Manager while Adam Pearce would be the Raw General Manager.

After being in the pro wrestling business for about two decades, Aldis finally made his way to WWE in the summer of 2023 as a Producer who helped put together matches and segments. When it was time to name a GM, WWE decided to put Aldis in the role while he continued to work as a Producer.

While many people would say that Nick Aldis is thriving as the SmackDown GM, it’s also confusing for some fans why WWE wouldn’t want to have a former NWA & TNA World Champion like Aldis competing in the ring.

In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Thom Latimer, who worked for WWE earlier in his career, spoke about why Aldis should be wrestling in WWE. Latimer is British like Aldis and the two men are very close friends who have worked together many times in pro wrestling.

“Oh yeah, definitely. Never say never, right? It’s wrestling. I would absolutely love to see that, and I feel like Nick deserves it.”

“I mean Nick, and I’ve said this before too, he’s a guy you could put in any position, he can do everything, he’s good at everything. He’s just an all-around talent. There’s a lot of qualities of Nick that I wish that I had, and so I also, like I said, I feel like he deserves it.”

“Will he get it? I don’t know because again, it’s wrestling. But it is also wrestling, so you never know. But I mean there is money sat on the table there, and they could go that route, and hopefully they will. I know to him, too, it would mean the world.”

Is Nick Aldis Ready To Wrestle In WWE?

For his part, the soon-to-be 38-year-old Nick Aldis wrote “time will tell” on social media about possibly wrestling in WWE and perhaps doing so against his Raw counterpart Pearce.

Thom Latimer isn’t the only wrestling pushing for Aldis wrestling in WWE since former WWE & TNA wrestler Matt Morgan did a lengthy social media post about Aldis as well.
