Why Drew McIntyre Is Still Suspended By WWE
Drew McIntyre was welcomed back on WWE Raw but couldn’t do what was asked of him as he remains suspended from the roster.
At Money in the Bank, Drew McIntyre thought he’d got it all figured out. In the opening match of the night, he just about dodged the wreckage around him to win the men’s Money in the Bank contract.
Later in the show, McIntyre cashed in that contract during the World Heavyweight Title match between Seth Rollins and Damian Priest. But, just as he was closing in on victory, CM Punk appeared from nowhere to beat McIntyre from pillar to post with a steel chair, and then the World Heavyweight Title belt. With the Scottish star now battered and beaten, Priest delivered a South of Heaven chokeslam to retain his title.
That was the third time CM Punk has screwed Drew McIntyre out of his title and McIntyre was furious. During the post-show, an irate McIntyre ranted before elbowing Raw General Manager Adam Pearce in the head as he and referees tried to drag him away. Ultimately it was Wade Barrett who managed to drag McIntyre away before more damage was done. One WWE star has claimed to have feared for their life during the altercation.
Adam Pearce announced on social media that Drew McIntyre had been suspended and fined for his actions. CM Punk asked for McIntyre to be reinstated so he could deal with him but on Raw in Daytona, Drew McIntyre didn’t help himself.
Drew McIntyre Won’t Say Sorry
Adam Pearce allowed McIntyre back on Raw but only agreed to end his suspension and book a match with CM Punk at SummerSlam if he apologised to the two referees who were also hit during McIntyre’s outburst. An indignant McIntyre refused, demanding his own apology from Adam Pearce for allowing CM Punk to repeatedly screw him.
As things became more heated and McIntyre became more irate, Pearce refused to lift the suspension and Seth Rollins made his presence felt, attacking McIntyre.
He's becoming really McIntyred of all of this…#WWERawpic.twitter.com/0tJyVGDn6z

One report has noted that Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk is not set to become a triple threat match at SummerSlam if the match is made although Seth Rollins could still find himself involved.
