Which AEW Champion Is Like Mick Foley As A Teletubby?
One unlikely AEW champion has been likened to WWE Hall of Famer after a wild hardcore match – but their softer side can’t be ignored.
The May 1st edition of Rampage saw Willow Nightingale put her TBS Championship on the line against Skye Blue in a Manitoba Massacre match. Nightingale picked up the win in the bout that saw weapons fly including thumbtacks and a barbed wire board.
Willow Nightingale Gets Unusual Mick Foley Comparison
Speaking In a digital exclusive, Stokely Hathaway and Kris Statlander paid tribute to their friend’s success with Hathaway even comparing Nightingale to the Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley:
Congratulations to Willow Nightingale. I mean, what you did out there was phenomenal. She’s like if Mick Foley was a Teletubby. I mean, we saw the thumbtacks, we saw the barbed wire. I think it’s safe to say she is on fire, and already, short period of time, already, she is one of the greatest TBS Champions of all time.
Statlander’s comments raised eyebrows as she indicated that she wants to see her friend defend her title week after week after week in AEW:
One of, yes. Like a great TBS Champion, I think she is more than capable of continuing the tradition of being a fighting champion, and we want to see you, week in, week out, fighting, defending, honoring the TBS Title.
Coincidentally both Statlander and Hathaway were banned from ringside for Nightingale’s hardcore match by EVP’s The Young Bucks with Tony Khan still absent after his attack from The Elite. But perhaps that was part of Hathaway’s plan after all.

Mercedes Mone will challenge for the TBS Championship at Double Or Nothing in her first match in AEW. Whether or not Willow Nightingale is still the champion by then remains to be seen.
During Mick Foley’s illustrious career, he suffered betrayal by many so-called friends ranging from Vince McMahon to Melina – perhaps after Double Or Nothing, he’ll have something else in common with Willow Nightingale.
