What CM Punk Really Thinks Of Triple H Running WWE
CM Punk has praised Triple H for his willingness to listen to the creative ideas of others.
‘The Second City Saint’ made a surprise return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 having departed nine years earlier after famously clashing with upper management and senior figures within the company, including both Vince McMahon and Triple H.
Punk’s sensational return came less than three months after he was fired from AEW by Tony Khan following a physical backstage altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In, held at London’s Wembley Stadium on 27th August 2023.
Whilst controversy has never been far from his door, Punk has seemingly settled nicely into life back in WWE, receiving widespread praise for his positive attitude backstage and desire to help up and coming Superstars.
Speaking during a recent appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show‘, the Chicago native opened up about the change in vibe backstage under the leadership of Triple H whilst highlighting the differences from the previous regime led by Vince McMahon:
“I think he’s receptive to other people’s ideas, whereas maybe Vince wasn’t.
He was, ‘I’m the boss, we’re doing this and this is how we’re doing it.’ That’s great. If you run a company, you need somebody who is the ‘yes’ and ‘no’ man, and the final say.
Triple H thinks he’s surrounded, and oftentimes is, but by a lot of really genius wrestling minds. If he has an idea or sees something one way, he’ll look at Michael Hayes and be like, ‘what do you think?’ He’ll look at Paul Heyman. These are people who have bonafide resumes and have literally done everything you could possibly do in the sport and their voices should be heard.
Not all the time will everybody have this dynamite idea, but the best idea always wins in today’s WWE,”
