What Has AEW Got Planned For Kenny Omega On Dynamite?

Kenny Omega is back on AEW Dynamite.

It’s been announced that Kenny Omega will make his return to AEW on the May 1st episode of Dynamite, but what’s he doing when he gets there?

Since Omega made his last AEW appearance much has changed with chaos taking hold. The company has crowned a new champion, Jack Perry is back, and there’s the small matter of The Young Bucks brutally attacking Tony Khan.

With Khan now running AEW from a remote location after sustaining “multiple head and neck injuries” at the hands of The Bucks, Omega steps back onto AEW television.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, although Omega is returning to television it might be some time before he wrestles again as he continues his recovery from diverticulitis. Omega’s appearance on Dynamite is to “increase ticket sales” among other things.

Early indications suggest that Omega will address the actions of The Elite on the show. However, this could change.

In a recent interview, Tony Khan hinted that AEW could be getting a new authority figure.

When Did Kenny Omega Last Wrestle?

The former AEW World Champion hasn’t wrestled since defeating Ethan Page on the December 9th episode of Collision. The match was taped four days earlier.

Just a week later it was announced Kenny Omega would be stepping away from the ring after being diagnosed with diverticulitis.
