Warner Bros Discovery Claim CM Punk “Not Affiliated” With AEW Collision

CM Punk on commentary

AEW has finally confirmed that they will have a new Saturday night show beginning in June but whether CM Punk will be a part of it remains up in the air.

Ahead of Warner Bros Discovery announcing the imminent debut of AEW Collision at its upfronts in New York City, Tony Khan’s company announced the new show themselves. Collision will debut on the 17th of June and will air live on TNT between 8 pm – 10 pm every Saturday night.

For a while now, it has been believed that the show will be the new home in AEW for CM Punk as a way to separate him from The Elite after their infamous backstage fight following All Out in September 2022. But that might not be the case.

“Headliners” for the new show were announced in the press release for Collision with Miro, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, Samoa Joe, and Andrade El Idolo all named, but there was no mention of CM Punk despite an earlier press release naming the former AEW World Champion as part of the line-up.

ComicBook.com has now reported that Warner Bros Discovery’s official line on the matter is that “CM Punk is not affiliated with TNT’s AEW Collision.” Whether that’s still the case following Dynamite where further announcements about the show could be made remains to be seen.
