WarGames Match Set For WWE Survivor Series
WarGames is returning at Survivor Series and eight of Raw’s top male stars are now set to enter the double-ring cage match.
Monday Night Raw has been the scene of chaos in recent months as The Judgment Day attempts to assert its authority on the red brand while being foiled by the likes of Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Raw in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania was headlined by Seth Rollins defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn. Rollins managed to pick up the win but his celebration was cut short by The Judgment Day and JD McDonagh who attacked. Sami Zayn joined his opponent for the night in battling off the group and they were soon joined by Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso who evened the odds.
As officials battled to separate the stars, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce had clearly had enough as he took to the ring and told everyone that at Survivor Series they would settle their differences once and for all in WarGames.

What Is A WWE WarGames Match?
WarGames first appeared in 1987 as part of Jim Crockett Promotions and was created by the legendary Dusty Rhodes. This original version of the match saw two rings surrounded by a cage with a roof and teams entered one person at a time until all participants were in the ring.
Only then did ‘The Match Beyond’ begin and only then could teams pick up the victory either by submission or surrender. The match remained a mainstay of JCP and then WCW but was not seen on a major stage again until 2017 when Triple H introduced it to NXT.
The first main roster WarGames matches in WWE took place at Survivor Series 2022 with Becky Lynch leading a team to victory before The Bloodline – with Sami Zayn – defeated The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens in a heartbreaking bout.
Currently, the 2023 WarGames match officially pits Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins against Damian Priest, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio. However, whether or not Rhea Ripley can come to some arrangement with Drew McIntyre to save her Dom Dom from the brutal bout remains to be seen.
