Vince McMahon’s Name Mentioned During WWE WrestleMania 43 Announcement
The name of Vince McMahon was used during a press conference announcing the WrestleMania 43 location.
Vince McMahon is the former WWE Chairman and CEO who built his company into a sports entertainment (or pro wrestling) powerhouse that was sold to Endeavor in early 2023, with WWE being valued at around $9 billion at the time of the deal.
However, Vince McMahon is no longer part of WWE. After a sexual trafficking and sexual harassment lawsuit was filed against Vince McMahon in January 2024, WWE owners TKO Group made him sell most of his shares, and he hasn’t been involved with the company ever since.
As WWE fans know, the name of Vince McMahon is rarely mentioned on television shows because the company is moving forward without him, with WWE President Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, leading the way.
During a September press conference where it was announced that WWE WrestleMania 43 is heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027, Saudi Arabian Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, mentioned Vince.
What Was Said About Vince McMahon At WrestleMania 43 Press Conference?
When WWE made a deal to begin running shows in Saudi Arabia starting in 2018, it was Vince McMahon who made the deal with Turki Alalshikh and the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, which is why Turki felt like mentioning the former WWE boss at the press conference.
“First of all, I want to thank the Crown Prince, who supported us. Without him, we can not do anything, and with his support, especially also for WWE, this will happen in our country, and before eight years ago, I meet the father, Vince McMahon, and Triple H, in my home when I was the Minister of Sport in my country, and I say to them, ‘Let’s go and have change into the future doing big project together,’ and I hope we deliver now some of what we say.
Before couples of years, my close friends, Nick Khan, became the President of WWE, and now, we are saying to him that, ‘You’re continuing the legacy of Vince McMahon and you delivered for us a very big project and very big surprise will come in this year and next year, inshallah.’
I see WrestleMania in Vegas… It bring 200,000 people to Vegas and bringing $1.5 billion for the city. This is very important for us. For the first time in our region, the big event in the history of entertainment is in our city, in our country, and this is very big to us.”

Despite being mentioned by Turki, it is doubtful that Vince McMahon will actually appear at WrestleMania 43 in 2027. WWE has moved on without him.
