Vince McMahon Keeping In Touch With 2 Major WWE Stars

Vince McMahon on the phone

Vince McMahon is no longer part of WWE but it seems despite the company distancing itself from the disgraced ex-chairman, two top stars have been talking to him.

Vince McMahon has been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. The claims made in the lawsuit were nothing short of sickening and left McMahon’s reputation in tatters.

As a result, Vince McMahon was told to resign as Executive Chairman of TKO Group which he did. Ever since his exit, McMahon has been offloading shares and has put the rest of his stock holding up for sale.

Vince McMahon In Touch With WWE Stars

A new report by NBC News has shed more light on McMahon’s life following his resignation and revealed that he has been in touch with two major names very much involved in WWE:

Since he resigned, McMahon has been in touch with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena, sources said. Johnson and Cena, both Hollywood superstars, are two of WWE’s biggest success stories.

Cena and Johnson are both represented by the William Morris Endeavor agency, which is part of Endeavor Group — the majority owner of TKO.

Brandon Thurston reported a response from a spokesperson for Janel Grant in relation to The Rock and Cena’s contact with McMahon:

It’s shameful that Mr. Johnson and Mr. Cena would associate themselves with an individual with decades of allegations just like Janel’s. Behind-the-scenes support is louder than any public statement ever could be.

The Rock joined the TKO Board of Directors just days before the news about Vince McMahon’s lawsuit broke. He has been an active member of the WWE roster since then, returning to the ring at WrestleMania 40 where he picked up a huge win in a tag team match over Cody Rhodes.

John Cena caused controversy with his comments about Vince McMahon after the allegations were made public. Cena was also a part of WrestleMania 40 where he came face-to-face with The Rock in the wild main event between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
