Vince McMahon Could Return To WWE After Brock Lesnar

Vince McMahon at WWE press conference

Rumors about Vince McMahon’s potential WWE return have prevailed for some time.

These reports have now gained more credibility with Brock Lesnar’s comeback at SummerSlam.

McMahon has kept a low profile since being named in the Janel Grant lawsuit, which accused him of sexual assault and trafficking.

After Grant’s lawyer amended the lawsuit, a surprising name emerged in it. Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar last competed in the Stamford promotion at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes in a singles match. With his name in the lawsuit, the doors for his return appeared all but closed.

However, at the 2025 SummerSlam PLE, Lesnar turned up after the main event and attacked John Cena, leveling the 17-time champion with an F5.

It prompted Janel Grant’s representatives to issue a statement, expressing disappointment in WWE’s decision.

Now that Lesnar is back, questions are being asked about whether the promotion will follow suit to bring back Vince McMahon.

Could Vince McMahon Return To WWE?

Since resigning from WWE in 2024, Vince McMahon has started his own company, 14TH & I.

While the 79-year-old remains ambitious about his new project, discussions about his return to WWE have not ceased.

On the latest episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, Dutch Mantell discussed the possibility of McMahon’s comeback to the promotion.

There’s a possiblity that he comes back, but the possibility of it being a success is down to about 20%, 10%. And I think Vince is going to take that into account unless it’s a success. [3:48 onwards]

Meanwhile, some talent is reportedly disgusted by Brock Lesnar’s reappearance, although the reaction has not been strong enough to cause any disruption.
