Vince McMahon Behind Very Late Changes To Raw
Vince McMahon returned to WWE in early 2023 and since then many onlookers have been waiting to see how long it would be before he took a grip on the company’s creative direction once again.
Vince McMahon’s influence may grow once again when the Endeavor takeover is finalized as he will be named as Executive Chairman of the TKO Group which will oversee both WWE and UFC. Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel has previously discussed his admiration of McMahon and noted he didn’t want him to walk away from the business following McMahon’s short-lived retirement in 2022.
While other reports have noted that Vince McMahon is currently making “heavy alterations” to WWE programming despite not being at shows, one new report on the situation suggests that McMahon was behind some last-minute changes to Raw in Albany, New York.
PWInsider has reported that adding AJ Styles to Raw – despite him being drafted to SmackDown recently – was down to Vince McMahon. It is also noted that some parts of the show were changed to allow Styles to appear in the opening segment and then subsequently teaming with Seth Rollins against The Judgment Day.
Despite those changes, the rest of the show is said to have taken place as originally planned and all in all, Monday’s show was an easy night for all involved.
