Vickie Guerrero Breaks Silence On WWE SmackDown Return
Vickie Guerrero has commented on her surprise return to SmackDown.
Although she first appeared on WWE television in 2005 it wouldn’t be until after her husband Eddie’s death that Vickie Guerrero became a regular on television. The star went on to manage several Superstars, as well as having a stint as SmackDown General Manager.
Guerrero left WWE in 2014, but she continued to make sporadic appearances before joining AEW in 2019. Again, Guerrero worked on-screen as a manager before leaving the company when her contract expired in April 2023.
Vickie Guerrero has largely kept a low profile since her daughter Sherilyn accused her husband of sexual assault in early 2023. Although Guerrero has stood by her husband and refuted the allegations, several other members of the Guerrero family spoke up in support of Sherilyn.
Vickie Guerrero Makes WWE Return
After several years away, Guerrero returned to WWE on the September 13th episode of SmackDown as the show moved from Fox to the USA Network. The star was shown in the crowd with the likes of Rob Van Dam, Katie Forbes, Booker T, Sharmell, and Teddy Long.
During a WWE SmackDown Exclusive, Guerrero said it was good to be back.
It’s so good to be here. It’s such a good time tonight. I love it. To come back and to be asked to be here tonight, of course, how can you say no? This is my home, this is where everything started. To see all my old friends and just familiar faces and meet new ones, it’s a blessing tonight.
It’s fun to see the new generation come up and see how they’re gonna lead WWE, but to be able to sit with the girls and talk to them and to be able to get to know the new roster, this is a great day today. I’m just like a little girl in a candy store,”
On the show, Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Title against Solo Sikoa in a Cage Match. In the aftermath, Roman Reigns made his return to the show.
