Update On Vince McMahon Running WWE TV
On the day that WWE announced a deal with Endeavor to be taken over by the company, Vince McMahon was said to be back in the saddle at Monday Night Raw in Los Angeles.
Triple H had taken over creative duties since McMahon announced his retirement in July 2022 but now that McMahon will be kept on as Executive Chairman of WWE’s new parent company once the deal is finalized with Endeavor, many believe that he is slowly but surely taking back over from his son-in-law.
However, things may not be as straightforward as that. PWInsider Elite reported before SmackDown that Vince McMahon was not at the show in Portland, Oregon although he did assess the creative plans for the show remotely.
There were said to be minor changes to the SmackDown show but they were described as “nothing out of the ordinary” as compared to the way things have been run under Triple H. A source noted that McMahon’s changes could often scrap entire segments of a show but that was not said to be the case.
As a result of Vince McMahon not being at the show, there was said to be better morale backstage although there was reported to still be a trepidatious “wait and see” attitude among many in regard to McMahon’s future involvement in shows.
