Update On Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar Stipulation
There’s a new report on whether the trilogy match between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will have some additional spice with a stipulation.
On the 17th July 2023 edition of Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes opened the show to address the crowd and try to get an answer from Lesnar to his recent challenge. When Lesnar didn’t appear despite his music playing, Rhodes headed backstage only to be attacked by Lesnar with a steel chair. Brawling back to the ring, Lesnar hit an F5 and locked on the kimura, both right in front of Rhodes’ mother, before officially accepting the challenge for ‘The Hottest Show Of The Summer’.
This match will be the third of the year between the pair. The feud began when Brock Lesnar attacked Cody Rhodes on the Raw after WrestleMania, when the pair had teamed together against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. Both men have one win a piece, with ‘The American Nightmare’ getting the win at Backlash while ‘The Beast Incarnate’ avenged the loss at Night Of Champions.
There had been talk that, as this could well be the blow-off match to their feud, that a stipulation could be added to the match, including being a Bull Rope Match. However, it would seem this won’t be the case
Stipulation “Never On The Cards”
The new report from Fightful Select has said that Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will have no stipulation added to their match at SummerSlam. It goes on to state that whilst there had been plenty of reports that there would be, the discussions were limited to asking whether it felt one was needed to add to the match, and it was decided that it wasn’t and that will be the case “unless something changes”.
