Major Update On Chelsea Green’s WWE Contract Status

Chelsea Green salute

Chelsea Green is a top star on WWE’s SmackDown brand.

Green is a brilliant entertainer both inside and outside the ring, and the WWE Universe is a fan of her character work. Well, good news for her fans, because they can expect to see her on WWE TV for a long time, as it turns out, she will stay with the promotion for five more years.

Chelsea Green initially signed a three-year deal with WWE in late 2022, after which she made her return in the 2023 Royal Rumble and quickly established herself as a prominent competitor. One of her biggest career highlights is becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion in December 2024, winning the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event by defeating Michin.

This victory launched her as a key singles competitor and led her to form a faction called The Green Regime with Piper Niven and Alba Fyre. In addition to her singles success, Chelsea Green has also captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, initially with Sonya Deville and later with Piper Niven after Deville’s injury.

According to Fightful Select, her contract was due to expire toward the end of 2025. However, WWE approached her well ahead of time and worked out a new contract extension in January 2025. This extension is a five-year deal that will keep her under contract with WWE through 2030.

Chelsea Green’s The Green Regime Is Missing A Member

Chelsea Green’s faction, The Green Regime, has been working without one of its members recently. Piper Niven has been absent since her impressive victory over Charlotte Flair on the August 22 episode of SmackDown because of a serious neck injury. Her condition is being described as potentially career-threatening, sparking concern among WWE officials, medical staff, and fans alike.

WWE and Piper Niven are taking a very cautious approach regarding her injury, exploring all medical treatment options and assessing the best path forward. However, there remains uncertainty about whether she will ever be medically cleared to return to in-ring competition.

While some people within WWE are hopeful for her recovery, others fear the injury could prematurely end her wrestling career. For now, there is no clear timeline for her return, and Niven is not expected back on TV soon.
