Uncertainty Surrounds 2025 WWE Draft

Triple H WWE Draft

WWE fans have been told to expect a Draft in 2025, but no one seems to know when.

Even though WrestleMania is in the rear-view mirror and WWE’s summer schedule is coming into view, there’s no sign of the Draft. Or even the announcement of one.

In 2023 and 2024, the Draft was held in late April; however, that slot on the calendar has gone, likely due to do with WrestleMania being held later than usual. Although a Draft later in the year wouldn’t be unheard of.

Going back to the brand splits’ initial inception in 2002, the Draft has previously been held in May, June, and July, while it was held in October in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

Packed Schedule Causes WWE Draft Headache

According to a new report on Wrestle Votes Radio, WWE’s stacked calendar has presented a problem when it comes to fitting in the Draft. However, the report claims the Draft will still happen.

“The calendar gets a little tricky here. You’re going to get Backlash next week [May 10th]. You’re going to get Saturday Night’s Main Event two weeks after that, you’re going to get Money in the Bank two weeks after that… three weeks after that, you get the Saudi Arabia show. Then, a week after that, you get the rumored Evolution show. And then you calm down a bit before SummerSlam.

So there’s a lot going on. I don’t know exactly when and where they can pencil this Draft in, but I would expect one to happen,”

Since January, the brand split was all but called off for several top stars as they appeared on both Raw and SmackDown heading into WrestleMania. Meanwhile, main roster stars continue to appear in NXT as and when they’re needed.

Following WrestleMania 41, Nathan Frazer and Axiom have officially been called up from NXT to SmackDown, while Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer have all featured on Raw. However, the female trio is still listed as NXT talents according to the latest report from Dave Meltzer.
