Two WWE Stars Set To Take Time Off

Two former WWE Champions are taking time off.

WrestleMania 40 might have been a huge success for WWE, but it was a bruising event for both Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

On night one of the spectacular, Lynch opened the event opposite Rhea Ripley as she attempted to win the Women’s World Title. During the match commentary announced that Lynch had been dealing with a fever and strep throat, but despite the issues she battled through to deliver another impressive performance — although it ultimately ended in defeat.

On night two, Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins lost the World Heavyweight Title to Drew McIntyre. Not that the night ended much better for the Scottish star, who lost the title to Damian Priest just minutes later.

Reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Lynch and Rollins will be taking some time off.

Rollins, who lost clean to McIntyre and then got taken out by Reigns without much of a fight in the main event, will be taking time off. We were told it was for not that along. Becky Lynch is also believed to be taking time off.

Could Becky Lynch And Seth Rollins Really Leave WWE?

Ahead of WrestleMania, Becky Lynch revealed she’s in the final two months of her WWE contract. Furthermore, the star said she’d yet to be approached over a new deal and even hinted she could leave the company altogether.

It had already been reported that Seth Rollins’ WWE deal also expires in the coming months.

Despite this, both are widely expected to remain with the company, with Lynch and Rollins commenting in different interviews that they see their futures with WWE.
