Two WWE Stars Set For Massive Character Change
After nearly a year as the Maximum Male Models, WWE Raw stars ma.çé and mån.sôör appear to be set for a gimmick overhaul.
When LA Knight made his long-awaited main roster debut in May of 2022, fans were surprised to hear him introduce himself under the name Max Dupri instead of the name he’d built during his time in NXT. In July, he’d announce that he’d formed a new stable called Maximum Male Models, recruiting Retribution’s Mace as well as fan favorite Mansoor and re-christened them ma.çé and mån.sôör.
The group soon added Dupri’s storyline sister Maxxine to the fold, and after seeds of dissension were sown, Max Dupri left the group in September of 2022, returning to the persona of LA Knight. Maxine continued managing MMM, and in recent months, has had her eye on Otis of Alpha Academy. After trying to lure Otis into her group, she’s now aligned herself with both member of Alpha Academy, putting the future of Maximum Male Models in doubt.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, ma.çé and mån.sôör may be headed toward repackaging as characters, though the report doesn’t provide many details as to what that could mean. Fightful notes that Vince McMahon was initially high on the team but didn’t want them to be too flamboyant, something that changed when Triple H took over creative control in the wake of McMahon’s retirement. At that time, flamboyance was encouraged, but now that McMahon is back in control, their characters have been scaled back.
Fightful Select also notes that the pair have continued to work WWE live events, but haven’t competed on television except in battle royals and tournaments.
