Two WWE Name Changes Confirmed

Name changes are nothing new in WWE but in recent years some of the changes have caused derision in some quarters with some stars losing either their first or last name seemingly on a whim.

Cesaro, Andrade, Ciampa, Theory, and Riddle, are among those over the years whose names have been shortened without much reasoning given. And that doesn’t even account for those who have their names changed following an NXT call up as happened with the likes of Gunther – previously WALTER – and Butch – previously Pete Dunne.

But now it looks like two WWE stars have got their last names back on the July 11th edition of NXT. Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz were backstage when they were approached by Angel and Humberto – except now the graphic introducing Los Lotharios gave their names as Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo once again. The surnames of both stars have also been returned on the roster page of WWE.com.

A tag team match between Carrillo, Garza, Dragon Lee, and Nathan Frazer was teased when Feroz and Leon seemed disinterested in talking to Los Lotharios.

Also on NXT, The Judgment Day were in action as Damian Priest and Finn Balor sought to put their issues behind them while Dominik Mysterio was on the hunt for gold.
