The Truth About Vince McMahon’s Shocking Signings In WWE

Vince McMahon

The warped psychology of Vince McMahon has been explained when it came to who he chose to hire in WWE.

The current wrestling war between WWE and AEW has many fans wondering if there is any personal bad blood between those at the top of both companies.

There’s absolutely no doubt that things got very personal when WWE was at war with WCW, as then-WCW boss made it his mission to end the career of Vince McMahon and bring his company to its knees.

However, it was WCW who closed its doors in 2001 and one year after that, Eric Bischoff shockingly found himself debuting on Monday Night Raw, where he shared a warm embrace with McMahon. But perhaps Bischoff’s hiring by the man he tried to put out of business shouldn’t have come as too much of a surprise.

Vince McMahon Hired Those Who Opposed Him

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why Vince McMahon’s hiring of Eric Bischoff was exactly the kind of thing McMahon would do as he gravitated towards revenge against those who went against him:

They hired [Bischoff] to humiliate him. It was only for a year or two and then they fired him and he was really good at what he did. If you had kissed [McMahon’s] ass you’d have a hard time getting a job. If you had f*cked with Vince, he’d hire you because then he wins in the end.

Of course he was gonna hire Eric Bischoff. Of course he was gonna hire Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and those guys. Did he hire Bobby Heenan who wouldn’t say a bad word about him no matter what Eric Bischoff told him to do? He said “I will never say anything bad about Vince McMahon, he gave me work.” Then when it was time and he needed a job, did he ever hire him? No way. That’s Vince, of course he was gonna hire Eric.
