Trish Stratus believes that Becky Lynch has a lot of similarities to Lita and it’s not just because of a similar hair color.

There will be some WWE Hall of Fame Stratusfaction at WrestleMania 39 this year. Becky Lynch & Lita became the Women’s Tag Team Champions on the February 27th edition of Raw by defeating IYO SKY & Dakota Kai. Lynch and Lita won those titles thanks to a big assist from Trish Stratus, who showed up at ringside during the match to prevent Damage CTRL’s Bayley from interfering. That allowed Lita to hit a top rope moonsault to win the titles.

Following Trish’s return, a challenge was made with Trish, Lita and Becky wanting to face Damage CTRL’s Bayley, Kai & SKY at WrestleMania 39. The match is on.

For Trish Stratus, the WrestleMania 39 match at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will be her first match since SummerSlam 2019 against Charlotte Flair. It’s a lengthy layoff and at 47 years old you might think Stratus isn’t ready, but her workout clips on Instagram show that she is definitely in great shape.

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Stratus talked about the similarities between Lynch and Trish’s best friend Lita.

“It’s a great dynamic because she and Lita are very similar. They forged that path of doing it their own way and their M.O. was living that out.”

“I’ve been a fan of Becky’s for so long. We had some interaction at a live event in Toronto and we had some fun just going back and forth. It’s a nice mix. Just being able to go in there and touch with Bayley and the new girls, it’s going to make for a very interesting match because we all came from different times.”

As for teaming with Lita again, Trish Stratus is happy about it, as you would expect.

“I couldn’t be happier to be teaming with Lita. If we’re going to go back and if I’m going to go back and put life on hold, and I have businesses and I have babies and all this stuff, we’re having the most fun and the best time. It’s really special to go back in this capacity.”

WrestleMania goes Hollywood for a special two-night Premium Live Event, Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, streaming live on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else.
