Triple H Won’t Let Kevin Owens Leave WWE Says AEW Star

Triple H Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens was one star who benefitted greatly from the creation of AEW as he signed a bumper, multi-year deal with WWE as the company looked to keep hold of its top stars from its upstart competition.

Since then, Owens has headlined WrestleMania twice – battling Steve Austin in an impromptu match in 2022 and winning the WWE Tag Team Championship with Sami Zayn one year later. But it seems time is running out on Owens’ current deal with the company.

Kevin Owens revealed that his current WWE contract expires in a matter of months and explained that he’s not taking his next steps in the business for granted.

Jim Ross Expecting Kevin Owens To Stay With WWE

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW announcer Jim Ross is not anticipating Kevin Owens being on his way out of WWE and says he’s simply too valuable for Triple H to let slip through his fingers:

I’m a big fan of Kevin Owens’ work and I saw that his contract was coming up which is a very good position for him because you know as well as I do that Triple H isn’t gonna let Kevin Owens get off the team. He’s too valuable, he can work heel, he can work babyface, he’s reliable, he can cut promos, his work his solid, he connects the dots, so they can use more Kevin Owens in that company.

WWE has recently signed new deals with some of its biggest stars. The Rock presented Drew McIntyre with a unique gift after the Scottish star pledged his future to the company while Finn Balor and Seth Rollins have also signed new deals.
