Triple H Urged To Put WWE Championship On Top SmackDown Star

Triple H Cody Rhodes WWE

Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship reign could come to an end soon.

After The American Nightmare ended Roman Reigns’ historic reign as Undisputed WWE Champion, he lost the title last April to John Cena at WrestleMania 41.

Nevertheless, the second-generation superstar recaptured the title at SummerSlam. He has since defended the championship successfully twice against Drew McIntyre.

The two superstars are now set to square off for a third time in a Three Stages Of Hell on the January 9, 2026, episode of SmackDown.

Jonathan Coachman Wants Drew McIntyre To End Cody Rhodes’ WWE Title Reign

Last Friday on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre took out Cody Rhodes. He later took to X/Twitter to post a photo of himself holding the Undisputed Title, captioning it, “I feel alive.”

Former superstar Jonathan Coachman commented on McIntyre’s post, suggesting that The Scottish Warrior should be the top heel in WWE. He also urged Triple H to put the title on the 40-year-old star.

This man should be the #1 heel in the company. Checks every box any top talent could possibly check mark. It would be good for Cody AND Drew if they put the strap on Drew. Allow for Cody to move in a different direction and not have to defend the title everywhere.
