Triple H Gives Shocking Answer To What’s Next For Brock Lesnar
Triple H is addressing Brock Lesnar’s future with WWE.
The Beast Incarnate returned to the Stamford promotion at the SummerSlam PLE after two years, attacking John Cena after his main event match against Cody Rhodes.
Lesnar’s comeback is controversial, considering he was one of the individuals named in the amended Janel Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon.
During his latest appearance on ESPN‘s Get Up, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H explained what the company has planned for the 48-year-old’s future.
‘The Game’ took a cheeky swipe at the host Peter Schrager’s question, hinting that Lesnar does as he pleases.
Have you met Brock? Whatever the hell he wants. When you’re Brock Lesnar, you sort of can. When that music hits and you walk down that aisle, doesn’t matter where he is. He sort of does what he wants to do.
So, we’re thrilled to have The Beast back. You know, we hit him up and said, “Time to come home.” And he was into it, and here we are. A massive, massive moment for our WWE fans, something that they felt they wouldn’t get to see, and making a statement with John Cena. [4:02 onwards]
Triple H Slammed For Lying About Brock Lesnar’s Return
When addressing Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE initially, Triple H said it was at the request of John Cena.
However, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer seemingly rebuked it, calling out the WWE CCO for not being entirely truthful.
When Levesque talked about it, it was such bullsh*t. “Well, John wanted to work with him…” You’ve got a whole roster of guys and honestly, for John to go out…the last person who needs the rub from John Cena on the way out is Brock Lesnar. You have a whole roster of guys that you can put him in there with to elevate them.
Bryan Alvarez doubled down on Meltzer’s comments, stating that while Cena may have wished to work with Lesnar, it was Triple H’s idea to bring him back.
