Triple H On Scrapped Celebrity Appearance At Survivor Series

Triple H

Triple H has revealed that whilst there were conversations about a special celebrity appearance at Survivor Series, the “timing wasn’t right”.

At the start of the 2022 Survivor Series, which was given the added War Games stipulation, Ozzy Osbourne appeared in the opening video package for a performance of his hit song War Pigs. However, it would seem that there were discussions of Osbourne playing a more prominent role on the show.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H revealed during the post-show press conference that he had personally made contact with Osbourne about his involvement in Survivor Series. There were also discussions at one point which could have seen him perform live, however the “timing wasn’t right” to make the in-person appearance happen.

Triple H also confirmed that WWE “look forward to doing more with them [Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne]”. The pair previously appeared on WWE programming during an episode of Raw in 2009.

This is also not the first time the track has been used to hype up an event involving War Games. The song was also used for the video package leading up to the NXT match in 2020 which pitted the team of Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan against The Undisputed Era.
