Triple H Responds To Outpouring Of Support Following Retirement
Triple H has shared a heartfelt message with the world following the outpouring of support he received after announcing his retirement from the ring.
It was during an appearance on ESPN’s First Take that Triple H confirmed he had retired from in-ring competition following heart surgery which involved being fitted with a defibrillator.
“For me, as far as in-ring, I’m done. I will never wrestle again. I have a defibrillator in my chest, it’s not a good idea for me zapped on live TV.”
The wrestling world united in an outpouring of love and support on social media for the man responsible for many successful WWE careers as the founding father of NXT.
Taking to Twitter, Triple H gave heartfelt thanks for all of the messages he had received and hinted that his retirement from wrestling might well lead to new beginnings.
“There will come a time when you believe everything is finished; that will be the beginning. – Louis L’Amour”
“I am truly humbled by the texts, calls, posts, and all the kind words. I’m grateful to each and every one of you. I wish I could respond to each of you, but I type so slow I’d never leave the house again. Please know how much they all mean to me. Stay healthy, be grateful for all you have and seize the day……. I know I am!”

During his career as an in-ring competitor, Triple H was a 14-time World Champion in WWE. ‘The Game’ was a main event performer in the company for nearly 20 years and competed against many big names during his career.
He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2019 as one of the leaders of D-Generation X. Now that his in-ring career is over, it is likely he will be recognised for his singles wrestling career as well.
