Triple H Praises Controversial WWE Star

Triple H expects a controversial star to stay with the company.

Triple H was again left celebrating following the return of Roman Reigns to cap off another huge SummerSlam. The Tribal Chief made his long-awaited comeback to the sound of a deafening roar from the crowd as he helped Cody Rhodes overcome Solo Sikoa.

Speaking during the SummerSlam post-show, Triple H was full of praise for all involved, but it was his comments about Logan Paul that raised eyebrows.

Logan Paul was a controversial figure long before he ever landed in WWE, but it’s fair to say he’s continued to be as polarising as ever. Fans were already less than impressed by Paul wrestling so few matches given he held the United States Title, but his transphobic comments on social media on the eve of the show took things beyond just wrestling.

Triple H Praises Incredible Logan Paul

During the post-show there were no questions about Paul’s comments and naturally, Triple H didn’t raise the subject either. Instead, WWE’s CCO talked up Paul’s performance in the ring as he lost the United States Title to LA Knight.

“Logan Paul just continues to amaze me. He’s incredible. His work ethic is off the chart. And I can tell you that, as a performer, my respect of him now is in a different place. Because he’s got to a place where he doesn’t want to just have a good match, he wants to be great at this, long term. And he’s putting in the time, he’s putting in the effort, he’s dedicating himself to it.”

Triple H went on to deny that the star wants to return to boxing, reiterating that he’s looking to dedicate himself to WWE long-term.

“He’s not boxing [etc.], he’s just wants to be a WWE Superstar. He wants to be great at this. And he wants to be the best, and he’s dedicating himself to it. So, it’s awesome to see.”

During the post-show, Triple H noted that Logan Paul was “banged up” following his match but gave little away about his status.
