Triple H Points Out Major Change In Roman Reigns’ WWE Character
Triple H has noticed one major change in Roman Reigns.
Reigns returned to WWE on July 14 for the first time since the RAW after WrestleMania 41, saving Jey Uso and CM Punk from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
He also partnered with Uso to face the team of Breakker and Reed on Night 1 of SummerSlam.
The tag team match was highly entertaining, as the audience at MetLife Stadium got behind The Original Tribal Chief and his cousin.
Ultimately, the favorites picked up the win, but not before Reigns sacrificed himself to save Jey Uso.
Triple H discussed this exact change that he saw in Reigns when he appeared on the SummerSlam Post-Show.
It’s a different Roman Reigns. You go back a couple of years, Roman doesn’t take a bullet for anyone. Roman Reigns taking a bullet for Jey Uso tonight.
Over this time, I think Jey Uso has earned the respect of The Tribal Chief. I think there was a point in time where he was calling him ‘Main Event Jey Uso’ and all that stuff as a, ‘I’ll make you feel good about yourself, kid.’
Now, I think he really sees Jey Uso as Main Event Jey Uso. Doesn’t mean he’s not still The Tribal Chief, but I think Jey Uso has earned the respect of The Tribal Chief. [1:09:18 onwards]

We still got tomorrow, and I can tell all of you this. If anybody that didn’t come tonight, anybody that’s coming tomorrow, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
On Sunday, all matches will feature title defenses, with John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes being the main event. It will be contested under the Street Fight stipulation.
