Triple H Forced To Rush WWE Star’s Heel Turn
A WWE star recently signaled a heel turn.
It is being reported that the stage was set for a slow transition of the wrestler, but Triple H is being forced to rush with this decision due to an unforeseen incident.
The talent in question is Asuka.
The Empress of Tomorrow returned to the promotion on the June 16 episode of RAW after a year-long absence due to an injury and competed in the Queen of the Ring Tournament, reaching the final.
At the Night of Champions PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, she lost to Jade Cargill, the other finalist in the tournament.
Since then, she has reunited with her former tag team partner, Kairi Sane, to revive The Kabuki Warriors.
On the August 11 episode of WWE RAW, former Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky challenged Roxanne Perez in a singles match.
In a backstage segment, she requested her Japanese compatriots not to interfere. However, they did and inadvertently cost Sky the match.
After the match, Asuka lashed out at Sky, hinting at a change in her character.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Triple H’s hand was forced into turning Asuka a heel this early.
The initial plan was for Sky to face Naomi for the Women’s World Championship, but changes were made due to the former being unable to compete because of an injury.
Triple H Grooming Fan Favorite Star To Become World Champion
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H may already have found the next Royal Rumble winner.
For weeks, RAW has been building hype around Sami Zayn, featuring him in disadvantageous positions with Karrion Kross.
In their latest match at SummerSlam, Zayn came out on top after defeating Kross on Night 1 of ‘the Biggest Party of the Summer.’
During the August 11 episode of RAW, Zayn reiterated his ambition to become the World Champion.
Former WWE employees Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo discussed Triple H and Zayn’s championship goals during the recent episode of The Coach & Bro podcast.
I gotta tell you, man, I firmly believe this now without a shadow of a doubt. They are grooming Sami Zayn to be WWE Champion. I’m telling you right now, they are planting the seeds, he’s gonna win the Royal Rumble over in Saudi and then they’re gonna replay the Bryan Danielson play. He beat Solo Sikoa on SmackDown. The guy is beating everybody; they are grooming him; they are going to put the world title on Sami Zayn, Russo said.
Sami Zayn has been with the Stamford promotion since 2013, where he has won the NXT Championship once.
