Triple H Allegedly Doesn’t Have Full Creative Control In WWE

WWE Triple H

Triple H might not have complete creative control, according to a former WWE star.

Maven spoke about having an epiphany recently about how polished wrestling had become, claiming that the industry had lost its edge; from being a gritty product, it had turned into something of a circus, comparing it to Cirque du Soleil.

The 48-year-old shared a video on his YouTube page, titled “WWE Has a Problem.”

To the performers—I know the time, I know the work you put into it, and I don’t blame you. I just blame a product that has moved in the completely wrong direction.

He revisited his time in wrestling and said that wrestling storylines were driven by how the crowd received them.

I came up in a time when, in the ring, you listened… If you stuck with what you had planned and it wasn’t working, you were going to get your ass chewed the moment you got backstage. And the first person to chew your ass was definitely Vince McMahon.

Maven then took a dig at the TKO Group, calling out their focus on making more money as opposed to making the product better.

He also speculated that Triple H did not have full control over the brand, and if he did, his focus would have been more on listening to the audience.

I guarantee you, Hunter would change and go back to when wrestling shows were more fan-driven—listening to the audience… and probably get away from all the glitz, glam, and 15-minute entrances. [H/T: Ringside News]

Triple H’s Shocking Reaction To Wrestlepalooza Backlash

Triple H’s reaction to Wrestlepalooza backlash sounds even harsher after listening to Maven’s video above.

Wrestlepalooza was WWE’s first premium live event to stream on ESPN after the two conglomerates signed a 5-year, billion-dollar deal.

The WWE Chief Content Officer had also promised a major surprise at the show, but nothing close to resembling it was seen by the fans.

Obviously, it led to a backlash, following which Triple H addressed it during a production meeting, stating, “We work them (the fans). They don’t work us.

Triple H ignoring fan sentiments is quite the opposite of how the administration under Vince McMahon worked, according to Maven.
