Triple H Accused Of Failing Miserably With WWE Star
WWE CCO Triple H is no stranger to criticism, and this wrestling veteran had some critiques on his handling of a WWE talent’s booking.
Triple H and his booking of WWE matches and storylines have recently come under fire multiple times, most notably after he booked WWE Icon John Cena to lose via tap out to Gunther in what was The Champ’s final ever match.
Another star whose booking under Triple H’s reign has been confusing to many is Jey Uso. Jey and Jimmy Uso were a decorated tag team with multiple WWE Tag Team Championships, but after losing the titles to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and failing to reclaim them in 2023, the twins went their separate ways, and Jey went on a main event run when he was dubbed “Main Event Jey Uso” and had a successful singles run, winning the Intercontinental Championship, The World Heavyweight Championship and the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble.
Uso’s dominance continued into WrestleMania 41, where he made Gunther tap out. But after this, Jey had a string of losses, most recently losing his match in the Last Time Is Now Tournament where had he won, where he would’ve been John Cena’s final opponent.
After this match, WWE creative decided to put Jey Uso back with his brother Jimmy and make them a tag team again, with the explanation from Jimmy being that Jey took too many L’s as a main eventer, and the brothers decided it would be best to be a tag team.
The pair went on to secure the Tag Team Titles once again by defeating AJ Styles and Dragon Lee on the final episode of Raw in 2025, this past Monday.
Former WWE Writer Vince Russo Accuses Triple H Of Failing Jey Uso
Like many fans and critics who couldn’t fathom the logic behind Jey Uso’s booking in 2025, Vince Russo was vocal about his discontent towards Triple H. Speaking on Vince Russo’s The Brand podcast, he says that Jey Uso failed to be put over by Triple H
This was a failure. We failed to get Jey Uso over. So, now we have to go back to where we were 10-plus years ago? I wouldn’t even do that, bro, because I’m admitting failure… You all failed miserably, and you don’t even understand you’re admitting the failure
It remains to be seen how Jey Uso will be positioned going into 2026, but after winning the Tag Titles on RAW this week, it doesn’t look like he’ll be going on a singles run again anytime soon.
